Gwendoline Christie is one of the most recognizable and best-received actresses in Hollywood. She plays the formidable warrior Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones and Captain Phasma in the Star Wars franchise.
As a six-foot-three actress, she has a commanding presence on both big and small screens. She has worked hard to earn her spot as a leading lady in movies and TV shows.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2
After being forced to fight for her life in the arena, Katniss Everdeen leads a rebellion against the cruel president of Panem. It’s a dangerous task, but she finds the strength to carry it off in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.
After losing her home and family in the Quarter Quell arena, Katniss rallies the other 12 districts of Panem to rebel against tyrannical president Snow (Donald Sutherland) and the Capitol. But as she and her friends prepare to wage war against the Capitol, their lives are put at risk by a series of deadly traps laid by Snow.
Director Francis Lawrence, a veteran of post-apocalyptic movies like I Am Legend, shows some of his action chops in Mockingjay – Part 2, including a claustrophobic, gruesome sequence that is as harrowing as the climactic sewer battle in I Am Legend. But the series’ awkward love triangle – between Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss, Josh Hutcherson’s Peeta and Liam Hemsworth’s Gale – slows down this film’s momentum.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The Force Awakens is the latest installment in the Star Wars saga. The film centers on a new generation of characters who must work together to save the galaxy from a group of dark forces.
Gwendoline christie plays a character named Captain Phasma in this film. She stars alongside Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac.
After the events of the original trilogy, the galaxy is now in civil war with a rebel group called the First Order. The movie also introduces two new characters, Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega), who are both young.
The film offers strong visuals and engaging new characters but falls short of being great. It suffers from a slapdash screenplay that mimics the initial trilogy without new context while overloading on generic action sequences, nostalgic callbacks and overt fan service. However, the cast does a wonderful job and it’s hard to fault them. The movie also features a very talented score by John Williams.
